Home watch services by home inspectors.

Heading south for the winter, between tenants, settling an estate, or selling an empty house? Most home watch companies send someone to look around. We send a trades-trained home inspector who knows what a failing furnace, a slow leak or an ice dam looks like, and who documents every visit with time-stamped photos.

Every visit includes

A walk-through of every room, inside and out

Heat, water and power checked

Thermal and moisture spot-checks

Time-stamped photo report by email

A dated visit log for your insurer

A call right away if something is wrong

Inspectors, not house-sitters

Trades-trained eyes on every visit.

Photo report every visit

Time-stamped proof, sent the same day.

Insurance-ready log

A dated record of every check.

The FXC difference

We spot the problem before it’s a claim.

An empty Alberta house in January is one furnace failure away from frozen pipes. A good home watch visit isn’t a drive-by. Our inspectors check the systems that actually fail, use thermal imaging and moisture meters where it counts, and know the difference between a normal sound and a failing pump.

And if we do find something, you already have a home inspector on the file. We document it properly, help you line up a trusted local trade, and give you the records your insurer will ask for.

Did you know?

Your policy probably has a vacancy clause.

Many Alberta home insurance policies require an unoccupied home to be checked regularly, often more often during the heating season, or water and freeze damage may not be covered. Check your policy for the exact rule. We set your visit schedule to match it and keep a dated log of every check.

Home watch FAQ

Home watch FAQs

How often will you check my home?

As often as you need, and as often as your insurance requires. Many Alberta policies require regular checks of an unoccupied home, often more frequently in winter. Tell us your policy’s requirement and we build the schedule around it.

What do I get after each visit?

A time-stamped photo report by email showing what we checked and anything we noticed, plus a dated visit log you can give your insurer.

What happens if you find a problem?

We call you right away, document the issue with photos, and help you line up a trusted local trade. Because we are home inspectors, the documentation is thorough enough to support an insurance claim.

How is this different from asking a neighbour?

A neighbour can tell you the house is still standing. A trades-trained inspector can tell you the furnace is short-cycling, the sump is failing or there is moisture behind a wall, and gives you a dated record of every visit.

Can I change the schedule if my plans change?

Yes. Add visits, pause or change your schedule any time. There are no long contracts.
